CEO of RelativityREAL
Tom Forman joined Relativity in 2008 to serve as CEO of RelativityREAL. Prior to joining Relativity, Forman was an Emmy-winning producer at CBS, where he produced and developed reality programming, including the reality/comedy series Armed & Famous and the controversial Kid Nation.
Before this, Forman worked for ABC where he created the hit reality TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and went on to run that show for ABC for three successful seasons. During his time with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Forman won two Emmys (Outstanding Reality Show) and two People’s Choice awards. More importantly, Forman oversaw the construction of more than 80 homes for deserving families in desperate circumstances. While running Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Forman also created and produced Back on Campus, an original series for ABC Family and executive produced Todd TV for FX.
Prior to working for ABC, Forman was tapped by CBS in 2001 to lead their production of 9/11 – a commercial-free film that first aired on the six-month anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Forman was awarded Emmy, Peabody, Murrow, and WGA awards for his efforts.
Forman started out his career at a young age, working for CBS News when he was 22 years old, and overseeing round-the-clock coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing at the age of 21.
